I just checked with udevadm monitor, and to me it looks as if udev
receives the power cord events correctly:

# udevadm monitor
monitor will print the received events for:
UDEV - the event which udev sends out after rule processing
KERNEL - the kernel uevent

Does this mean i am facing a udev rule problem?
