Hi Colin, I think you fixed the problem when I got you right. Anyway just wanted to say one more thing about my case. I had another fat32 partition on my disk and did not have to format it. I think the problem was the old version of Linux on of the partititions that did not get reformatted. Thanks for the quick answer, and the fix of course.
Chris, p.s.: I checked the download with md5sum ( k3b ) and it was okay. My installation is running now like in heaven ;-) It is awesome. I got a bit confused because I downloaded the newest desktop-version and after installation I had to download 200 Mb of updates. I only have a fairly slow connection. But what the heck.
