Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. I have classified this bug as a bug in packagekit-backend-apt.
When reporting bugs in the future please use apport, either via the appropriate application's "Help -> Report a Problem" menu or using 'ubuntu-bug' and the name of the package affected. You can learn more about this functionality at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs. As you didn't state the release you're using, please run apport-collect 600956 in a terminal (KMenu->Applications->System->Konsole) so it can add some basic information about your system to the bug. You'll have to give it at least permission to change Non-Private Data when asked. If that doesn't work for some reason please run the following commands in a terminal and post the output here, thanks. apt-cache policy packagekit-backend-apt lsb_release -rd ** Package changed: ubuntu => packagekit (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: packagekit (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- in kpackagekit when i click update it gives an error and cannot continue https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/600956 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
