Hello everyone,
The above mentioned system pause is really a system *hang* for my laptop.
Nothing happens, I have to hard power down. I have a Compaq Presario V3029AU
model. Its specs are as follows:
AMD Turion™ 64 Processor TL-50
2GB Transcend RAM
NVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 6150 video card
I have tried all the possible fixes:
installed linux-image-386,
added noapic nolapic to the boot options
added DPMS true option to the Devices section in /etc/X11/xorg.xonf
got the RAM replaced...
