Not sure if this is related to the symbols issue, but after installing linux-backports-modules-alsa-2.6.32-23-generic, my internal microphone switches correctly, but inserting a logitech USB headset (which was detected properly before) results in the whole system locking up (can't even ctrl-alt-f1) but no kernel crash because I can still hear music playing until I power cycle the machine.
I found some crash details in /var/log/messages (see attached). I suppose I should file a separate bug, how do I do that for a packing in proposed? ** Attachment added: "/var/log/messages from inserting USB headset to manually restart" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/51318815/usb-headset-stack-trace.txt -- Lenovo Thinkpad X201 & T410 & W510 not autoswitching to input mic jack in 10.04 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/557742 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
