That means that you are working the computer too hard :) On a serious note, do the fans in your computer seem to be working? If not, there is probably a serious problem with ACPI, which you might be able to resolve with a BIOS update, otherwise we will need to find/develop a fix in Ubuntu.
If the fans are working but the computer is overheating please try the Ubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" alpha 2 live CD and see if the problem still occurs.
