For those running 32 bit OS: download libstdc++5_3.3.6-18_i386.deb from:
http://packages.debian.org/lenny/i386/libstdc++5/download >From GNOME, at least, double click the .deb to install using the GDebi package installer. Not sure why 64 bit users are using wget and linking files...
