I have a similar issue as well: Jul 3 08:45:08 wks pulseaudio[2526]: alsa-sink.c: ALSA woke us up to write new data to the device, but there was actually nothing to write! Jul 3 08:45:08 wks pulseaudio[2526]: alsa-sink.c: Most likely this is a bug in the ALSA driver 'snd_usb_audio'. Please report this issue to the ALSA developers. Jul 3 08:45:08 wks pulseaudio[2526]: alsa-sink.c: We were woken up with POLLOUT set -- however a subsequent snd_pcm_avail() returned 0 or another value < min_avail.
I also tend to get system wide temporary soft lockups and tons of other syslog errors while playing back audio: Jul 2 09:00:23 wks pulseaudio[2993]: ratelimit.c: 74 events suppressed Jul 2 09:00:33 wks pulseaudio[2993]: ratelimit.c: 71 events suppressed Jul 2 09:01:49 wks pulseaudio[2993]: ratelimit.c: 73 events suppressed Jul 2 09:02:10 wks pulseaudio[2993]: ratelimit.c: 78 events suppressed Jul 2 09:03:47 wks pulseaudio[2993]: ratelimit.c: 71 events suppressed Jul 2 09:04:19 wks pulseaudio[2993]: ratelimit.c: 71 events suppressed Hope this helps. -- pulseaudio throws warning continuesly in syslog https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/580945 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
