This issue appeared while upgrading from Jaunty to Lucid. Until this upgrade, I had installed the nvidia drivers (173) with nVidia GeForce FX 5700VE and everything worked fine.
After the upgrade, the trouble happened: - user A opens a session - user B opens another session from swithc-applet - when B disconnects, then I get a black screen Ctr + Alt + F1 to ... F7 does not work. Only solution is hard reboot.
