Binary package hint: vlc

My TV ( Sony 32in XBR9 ) is currently in the shop and I wanted to test the 
sound of my new AV processor ( Emotiva UMC-1 ) 
Audio only files play fine but video+audio ones play fine for about 30 mins and 
crash.
