Well, I ran sudo force_start=1 /etc/init.d/apport start as requested, tried to go to jigzone, and got the same results as before -- Firefox closed. However, there is no file in /var/crash. I didn't know about apport so I Googled it and found this page: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Apport That's the only reason I knew to look in /var/crash. Also, no dialog box showed up. All that happened is that Firefox immediately disappeared from the screen -- the open window and the buttons on the task bar. Restarting Firefox allowed me to restore the session to the point before attempting to connect to jigzone. -- Regards, Dick Steffens -- Connecting to Jigzone.com causes Firefox to close. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/601497 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
