If I understand correctly, you expect to see the completion percentage inside
the progress bar, right?
It is not displayed on purpose, see the specification at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SoftwareCenter#in-progress: "each row has a progress
bar (which itself never contains any text)".
I'm marking this bug as invalid, feel free to re-open if I misunderstood your
concern. Thanks for the report, please continue reporting issues as you find
