How is it totally different? it only proves that the problem has persisted through three ubuntu version given the proper circumstances. I have beryl installed, but its not running and i'm quite confident that it isn't responsible. the Symptoms are identical and theres no information indicating either way if the cause is related. its quite unappropriate to jump to the conclusion that they are unrelated. Edgy is not Beta, and Feisty is on its way out of beta. so we know that the problem hasn't been fixed with any recent updates, whereas that can't be confirmed by your system running 6.06.
