Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: vlc

I made a SD DVD to test subtitle display on VLC, the DVD has two video
tracks, the first video tracks has two subtitles (1=English 2=Chinese).

When I play the video track with the subtitles (video track 1) and go
to:

Video -> Subtitles Track -> Track 1 [English]

The subtitles I put in the DVD do not display. However, the two subtitle
tracks are listed in VLC's Video -> Subtitles Tracks submenu, but
selecting either one does not cause the subtitles to display.

I played my DVD on a real DVD player and the subtitles clearly show,
both subtitle tracks.

Linux, Ubuntu 9.10, VLC 1.0.2 Goldeneye

** Affects: vlc (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
