Public bug reported:
Does Ubuntu not distinguish bugs in different releases? This bug was
reported last year as "46969 6.06-rc initial X configure picked wrong
graphics card". I'm new to Ubuntu, so this "all bugs in one place"
approach seems confusing (literally) to me.
So now, in "7.04 beta desktop", still the same problem. The machine has
two graphics cards. On install/live startup, the inactive graphics card
is selected for xorg.conf, and the active display goes blank.
When coupled with no shell running, this is the end of the line, but
that is a different bug, to be reported.
