Thanks for your help. The problem is fixed. Here is what I did : After I removed flashplugin-nonfree package as you suggested, I then also remove adobe-flashplugin package. I then open firefox and enter about:plugins to see what is there. What I saw was under Shockwave Flash there was still version 9 somewhere in my system. I then cd to .mozilla/plugins and remove libflashplayer.so. Next, I reinstall adobe-flashplugin and everything is OK now. Again thanks for your help. You gave me some hints to fix the problem.
