The motu-uvf team just replied to bug 95216. They won't consider the request unless:
* a new .deb is already prepared * and we provide all the info at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FreezeExceptionProcess#head-9523bc4076ff011324d67cddc97969ec609618d6 (which I think I can prepare.)
