Binary package hint: xdg-utils
The summary is quite clear. In Lucid Lynx, if I issue
xdg-mime query filetype ./myfile.pdf
I have no error but no output (I expected application/pdf). On the other
hand,
xdg-open ./myfile.pdf
do work.
