Boots normally with software raster glx support in a full lucid install
.
With jockey ( nvidia via package mananger ) or nvidia proprietory install the
system boots
to a black screen ,and another operating system must be used to revert to the
original xorg config
or no config .
The nouveau module when loaded also produces amount of NAK's from what appears
to be
the unaddressed "behind " bus controller (primary intel ) of the nvidia GPU .
Please see attached logs and lspci outputs .
These ACPI commands work to switch the nvidia gt325m card on and off are also
some other
commands which work but appear to have errors due to a behind main pci bus error
,ie GPU or bus controller not recognised .
This error is apparent on kernel 2.6.3# compiled with debugging acpi and i2c
bus ,even after
modifying the i2c in arch and the nvidia i2c module.

Nvidia proprietary driver install produces this error when card access is
attempted or
nvidia-settings or nvidia-smi -l is invoked .
after changing nv-reg.h with vbios off and re-compiling ,kernel boot param
