Hi chilicuil,
Templates are optional, you can have your own template without the
ubuntu-application one. You can list templates available with quickly
commands and quickly --version. That's why the ubuntu-application
template is only a recommends and not a dependency.
The behavior is consequently exactly what is expected. I'll mark the bug
as invalid again.
