Yes 'sudo apt-get install usb-modeswitch libusb-dev' and a reboot is all you need to get the E122 (and possibly some other modems) to work. So it works very well yes... but there's some functionality that I would love to see. 1. A signal strength indicator 2. A connection type indicator (GPRS, 3G or HSDPA) 3. Total bandwidth consumed per month (although I get this by using KNemo at the moment)
Anyone knows of a program that would do this? There is the Vodafone Mobile Connect but I would like something more 'generic' or even specific for any Huawei modem. -- Network Manager fails with Huawei E122 HSPA USB Stick https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/514409 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
