Yes 'sudo apt-get install usb-modeswitch libusb-dev' and a reboot is all you 
need to get the E122 (and possibly some other modems) to work.
So it works very well yes... but there's some functionality that I would love 
to see.
1. A signal strength indicator
2. A connection type indicator (GPRS, 3G or HSDPA)
3. Total bandwidth consumed per month (although I get this by using KNemo at 
the moment)

Anyone knows of a program that would do this?

There is the Vodafone Mobile Connect but I would like something more
'generic' or even specific for any Huawei modem.
