Binary package hint: checkinstall
I had created debs from the samba4 tree last week and installed on a second
computer.
There must be symbolic links to the right library version in
/usr/local/samba/lib!
They are not created by installing the deb.
Ubuntu Lucid checkinstall with all updates. Executing checkinstall in source4
of samba.
make install creates the symbolic links in /usr/local/samba/lib but
checkinstall take no care of them.
