After a week of testing with the latest upstream kernel so far there was no kernel panic, but similar behaviour persists: after return from suspension, monitor stays black and backlit. and no reaction to keyboard or mouse, so I forced to do hard reboot. Happened three times so far after about 20-30 total returns.
It is similar to kernel panic I was getting before, as monitor stayed black same way and I could not see any error messages then. So, I suppose it has something to do with X-server and/or Nvidia drivers. Interestingly, I could switch to other consoles by pressing Ctrl+Alt+F1, Ctrl+Alt+F2 and so forth seeing separate text-based login promts, but as soon as I would swtch back to Crl+Alt+F7 (default console on my machine) it would stop responding completely. ** Tags removed: needs-upstream-testing -- [STAGING] Kernel panic on sleep/resume on Samsung R780 laptop https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/601666 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
