I can confirm henk's workaround (#54) using: - linux-image-2.6.35-7-generic (2.6.35-7.12 from ppa:xorg-edgers) - Add at grub: i915.modeset=1 acpi_sleep=s3_bios - deleting 99video and 98video-quirk-db-handler from (/usr/lib/pm-utils/sleep.d/).
