Dear Jean-Baptiste: Don't remember it now and on my Toshiba, everything seems to work fine. I did try installing the 32 bit version on my Tower using a K8u Motherboard with separate SATA drive and the installation not only failed but screwed up my windows boot loader so that I could not reach Windows XP or Windows 7. I solved the boot load problem using EASEUS' partition manager (rebuild), but after trying twice, have given up on Ubuntu on this machine. I love the software, but it doesn't load nicely with others. I might try disconnecting my other drives from which windows loads and see if I can load Ubuntu successfully that way, and then reconfigure the Win Boot Loader to add the Ubuntu option. I am just not sure of the actual "script" to add to the Boot Mgr File for Win 7. Thanks for responding though!
