In response to Sepero, message 165 above, could you please clarify the instructions in the second link in your post.
When I run sudo su -, it puts me in root. In the next step, I'm assuming the words done & exit are not to be included in what I enter into the terminal. When I run: sed -i 's/^console output/\#console output/' $file; I get: sed: no input files Obviously I'm doing something wrong. If you would be kind enough to put exacly what needs to be entered into the terminal I will see if this works.
