Graham, thanks for your detailled answer. However I am sure I have "found" myself that the problem was coming from oOo before I read this bug report, when I read some messages from the system. I was very happy with this but don't remember where I could have read this message!!! My last question would be : when I shutdown (using a sudo shutdown...) I am back on a black screen with some messages on it. This stays only a couple of seconds and it's difficult to read all of it. Is there any way to access these messages before the shutdown happen ? (I have read on ubuntu-fr that there is a special console usgin Ctrl+Alt+F8 but this doesn't work for me...) Thanks, Stephane.
