Binary package hint: cups

I have been noticing that occasionally cupsd is not running on my system.
Today, the first thing I ran after booting my computer was "System Monitor", 
and cupsd is not in the list of processes.
In the log files, there are some mentions of not being able to connect to the 
cups server, but nothing about cups itself.
