Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: pysdm
The description in Maverick's software centre contains both a spelling
mistake/typo and confusing grammar.
"PySDM is a PyGTK Storage Device Manager that allows full customization of hard
disk mountpoints whitout manually access to fstab. It also allows the creation
of udev rules for dynamic configuration of storage devices"
This same description with the same mistakes is also used on the projects
website. I would suggest it should at least be reworded/fixed to something like:
"PySDM is a PyGTK Storage Device Manager that allows full customization of hard
disk mount points without the need to manually edit fstab. It also allows the
creation of udev rules for dynamic configuration of storage devices."
However a better more complete rewrite of the description maybe required
to make the softwares description make more sense to people unfamiliar
with fstab and partition mounting principles eg.
"Storage Device Manager allows modifications to how storage devices are mounted
and displayed. Including rules for how removable devices should be setup."
"Storage Device Manager will detect your partitions and devices allowing you to
change device names, permissions and mounting behaviour."
Those are just some suggestions of alternative descriptions which maybe
more suitable.
