Sorry guys, but nothing seems to work. 
I've upgraded from one Ubuntu LTS to the other (8.04 to 10.04) and flash 
plug-in is not working. Cannot open youtube and other videos/animations. 
Not even the purge command solved the problem (I was trying to remove it all 
and re-install it in the terminal, or with Synaptic, or anything else.. nope!). 
I can't install, uninstall, re-install flash. Take a look: 

 flashplugin-installer
 flashplugin-nonfree
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

In my opinion, for Ubuntu, Debian and all the GNU/Linux comunity, the solution 
is only one: independence! = to build a 100% open-source package that makes 
everything that this proprietary one does; make one that works for real (gnash 
sometimes in not enough) and forget about Adobe Flash.
