Hello, Fabio. I would say that this problem is not totally solved in Ubuntu 10.04. Lucid Lynx gives access to a plugin for HP Laserjet 1018, wich works fine. Most of the times, I get a clean boot with no problems at all. But sometimes (maybe 1 in 3 or 4 times) the printer delays the boot, and I can't move the mouse for about 1 minute after Ubuntu is loaded. If I unplug the printer, during that minute, I have access to the mouse again. At least I don't receive "device descriptor read/64, error" messages anymore, or perhaps they are hidden now.
