Thanks for reporting this bug. It is not really a bug, since when you
installed these items, you did so by choice. Gnome-power-manager is not
installed in Xubuntu. Instead, you should have xfce4-power-manager.
Xfce4-goodies is a meta-package, removing it has no effect on anything
else. The update-notifier should be reinstalled after removing
xfce4-notifyd and restarting your computer.
