I am still getting the problem. I can't start a new profile, as I would not want to lose all the extensions, and most importantly, my bookmarks.
I did disable all the extensions, and it all worked fine, then i reenabled the essential ones, and it still seemed ok. Then i realized i had not turned fireftp back on.
