Please make sure you are using the current version 1.1.0. If the problem still occurs, please provide the debug log of vlc (vlc -vv). ** Also affects: vlc (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: vlc (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Changed in: vlc Status: New => Incomplete -- vlc sound interruption https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/484745 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug. Status in VLC media player: Incomplete Status in “vlc” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: In distr 9.1 vlc has a periodic sound interruption followed by occasional stuttering. This happens when playing audio files of any types (mp3, FLAC...) and also happens when streaming from a PVR. Video does not seem to be affected. It is sufficiently distracting to render vlc unusable for listening. Seems to be release specific as the same program, on the same machine ran fine under 9.04. Reinstalling vlc does not solve the problem.
