confirming this on E5410,too.

I tried the gentoo patch. It works so far, as the touchpad is now
recognized like this:

I: Bus=0011 Vendor=0002 Product=0008 Version=7326
N: Name="AlpsPS/2 ALPS DualPoint TouchPad"
P: Phys=isa0060/serio1/input0
S: Sysfs=/devices/platform/i8042/serio1/input/input19
U: Uniq=
H: Handlers=mouse3 event18

I can now configure my Touchpad via GUI, but:

No configuration settings take any effect! *confused*
