Have you tried cleaning your package cache before running these commands? (sudo aptitude clean). There is definitively something funny happening here, I think some package is lying about its version number. Of course it could be that I had accidentally replaced the offending package earlier already without noticing, and therefore my recipe just worked by chance.
Here are the package versions that work for me after reinstalling the packages as shown above: LANG=C aptitude show eqonomize eqonomize-doc libqt4-xml libqtcore4 libqtgui4 | grep Version Version: 0.6-4ubuntu2 Version: 0.6-4ubuntu2 Version: 4:4.6.2-0ubuntu5 Version: 4:4.6.2-0ubuntu5 Version: 4:4.6.2-0ubuntu5 -- Eqonomize crashes on startup https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/519075 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
