This is a patch to prevent a class of GPU hangs on 945GM cards. It's
CC'd to stable@, and should end up in 2.6.35 at some point. If it
doesn't, we should pick it up, and it might be worth a Lucid SRU.
It seems there's a reasonable chance that this would fix bug #400934, bug
#451518, bug #475429, bug #500686,
bug #501875, bug #342675, bug #493111 and bug #450853.
