There are still no known critical bugs in the last 1.9x release.  There
are several noncritical fixes that I'd be happy to backport to 1.9x if
Ubuntu is interested, but IMO there's no urgency for existing Ubuntu
releases like 9.10 or 10.04 to upgrade at this time.
