Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: recordmydesktop
When recording the screen with recordmydesktop, it inconsistently drops
frames, leading to a recording that is randomly out of sync with any
other recordings (such as a video camera). At first I thought it was
related to CPU use, but even with an idle system it lost nearly 30
seconds of frames over an hour. To test, I used the following
recordmydesktop --no-sound & sleep 3600s && killall recordmydesktop
-SIGTERM;
Which produced a file about 59:30 long (according to Totem).
