The display is 1920x1200, but during boot time, Ubuntu is not using that resolution. Instead, it is using something like 640x480, probably... I cannot tell really, because the image is stretched to fill the whole screen. I think this can be seen from the pictures I attached.
The video card is Nvidia, but like i said in the initial bug report, this bug occurs both when using the Nvidia proprietary driver, and ALSO when using the free nvidia driver. I just ran the "apport-collect" command as you asked me to.
