This is still an issue for me. After upgrading from Hardy to Lucid the authentication dialog just hangs after entering the password. This is true for every application that is using authentication!
Nothing happens after entering the password and pressing authenticate. The dialog stays there and I can still click on cancel and authenticate and still nothing happens after that.
