Actually, no, it's too early for either of those, although it could be
something else. Could you please try with an image from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ and let me know whether
you can still reproduce this bug? If you can, please attach
/var/log/syslog and /var/log/partman, following the instructions in
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingUbiquity/AttachingLogs.
