I tested the two cases, before installing from ppa:ubuntu-audio-dev/ppa: 1. Headphone jack sense: The internal speakers are not muted, when I connect the headphones
2. Microphone jack sense The internal microphone is not muted, when I connect an external microphone. In fact, the external microphone does not capture any audio. (Tested with gnome-volume-control, audacity and Skype).
