Status in “debian-installer” package in Ubuntu: Invalid

Bug description:
Binary package hint: debian-installer

I downloaded the xubuntu 9.10 alternate install on Thursday and then
successfully installed the software on my old notebook with 128MB of RAM.
When
I boot the PC the GNU Grub version 1.97 beta comes up and when I select
Ubutu, Linix 2.6.31-14 generic I get the error, "You need to load the kernel
first". I verified both the CD and my PCs 128MB of memory and they are good.
