I'm having a problem with activating Broadcom STA wireless driver on
Ubuntu 10.04 when PAE kernel is loaded. My laptop has 4GB of RAM and
that's why I need to use PAE kernel. The same driver activates and works
fine with regular kernel. I try to activate the driver by selecting
System -> Administration -> Hardware Drivers -> Broadcom STA wireless
driver. After I press Activate a window is displayed saying that the
driver can't be activated and I should check /var/log/jockey.log file.
The same driver worked fine in Ubuntu 9.10 with PAE kernel. My current
installation is not an upgrade from previous version but a fresh
installation.
I attached jockey.log. It contains some non-related info but I'm not
sure which part exactly is related to this issue.
Hardware:
Dell Inspiron 1420
Broadcom BCM4311 802.11
Installed kernels:
linux-image-2.6.32-24-generic
linux-image-2.6.32-24-generic-pae
