I am using currently ver. 1.3.5-0ubuntu1
After installing Ubuntu One again it was the same problem. 90% of CPU all the
time. In the ubuntuone-preferences it was stuck at 48% and was constantly
changing every second between "Synchronization complete" and "Synchronizing".
Like it was in infinite loop.
After little exploring I saw there was a lot of "*.u1conflict" folders. So I
moved all my files from Ubuntu One folder to another location and deleted all
those "*.u1conflict" folders. Later a went to Ubuntu One web page and deleted
everything there. Moved back my files in Ubuntu One folder again and let it
sync. And now everything works OK.

** Changed in: ubuntuone-client (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Fix Released
