Hello, this bug is reported in LTS and not in development version and I use LTS now.
I do see notification screen to save and then that notification screen is gone when clicked, but main mousepad window stays (I see now that now it closes after some time but that time is mesured in a sew minutes, with no reason known to me). I will report ~/.xsession-errors as soon it starts behaving like this again (it does not do it always and certenly not after fresh reboot, but after some times.
