I'm fed up of Ubuntu patches just wiping out perfectly good Notification Area icons. Notification Area is currently more functional and easier to use than the "space saving" Indicator Applet. I've got 3840px of screen width; I don't need to save space!
In short, can this patchset (that is from Ubuntu - not upstream) be replaced with something that looks for a Indicator Applet instance before adding to it, and falling back to Notification Area if it can't find one. -- Tray icon doesn't show anymore in 1.6.3 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/609827 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
