It seems the disk that is failing is not in your sil raid set? So maybe the disk dying is unrelated. The files you found in the original post of this report are outputted when you run `dmraid -rD`, it dumps the metadata so you can restore it if something goes wrong. -- Server disk was reverted as it were 3 months ago.
