Public bug reported:
While installing applications in Ubuntu the documentation that comes
with it is listed as the essential dependency. So you can't install it
without the documentation. And the problem is that the major of the
package downloads is the documentation and also it takes a lot of space
after installation no matter if I see it or not.
My idea is to make installation of documentation an option or suggest it
in 'suggested packages'. This way the user know what he/she is not
installing and may install it later at his/her option.
An example: to install texlive-latex-extra I have to install the
associated doc package whose download size itself is 184 MiB.
